Cruise 2011

Jeff and I had the chance to go on a cruise with about 11 other couples from the fire department. We were excited to have so many friends able to go at once. We booked our cruise in the fall and were hoping for March to come soon! Little did we know that Ashley was becoming VERY serious about a mission and put in her papers. At this point, we were crossing our fingers that she would not be scheduled to leave while we were away on our trip. Well, as we all know she got her call and would be leaving a few days after we got home from our trip. This was bittersweet for Jeff and I; we were happy she was not leaving while we would be gone, but were sad we would only have a couple of days to spend with her before she left. It all turned out okay and she was busy nannying for my cousin in Draper while we were gone.

We went to the Mexican Riviera (on the Norweign Star). This time our cruise line cancelled the stop to Mazatlan because of it being so dangerous for tourists, so we got to spend two days in Cabo San Lucas and one day in Puerto Vallarta! It was wonderful. We had such an amazing time with all of our friends.

The second day was a day at sea, so we spent a lot of the day hanging out in the sun chairs with our friends and eating!! Jeff was wishing he had brought his speedo!

Our first day in Cabo! We spent the day snorkeling at Lover's Beach, hanging out and shopping!

This was taken on the Pacific side known as divorce beach!
You cannot swim here because the riptide is so strong you would
most likely not make it out alive.

This was our second day in Cabo and this was the group that was going to do the zip line!
We did not get any pictures of us doing the zip line because they didn't allow cameras.
(Wises, Crafts, Thorpes, Broughs, Cottams and Hughes)
After doing the zip line, we had a little time to shop. Some of us stopped by the fire truck out on the street for a picture. This truck is one you can take a tour on through the streets of Cabo, but we didn't have time.

This is the stop in Puerto Vallarta. We spent the day at Las Calletas.
What an amazing place it was. You could snorkel, kayak, swim, do yoga, go on a nature walk, etc. They also served an authentic lunch. It was fabulous!

Nice tongue Peter and Jeff, you have sunscreen all over your face that you forgot to wipe in!!
