Halloween and Pumpkins

We went to the pumpkin patch pretty late this year and there were slim pickings!  Not to mention it was absolutely freezing on this particular evening.  However, we found some pretty decent pumpkins in a hurry!  We carved our pumpkins the night before Halloween and they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself!   Since it was so stinking cold this year nobody really wanted to take the time to pose for a picture so I got what I could out of them!

Lexi found a cow pattern on the internet and was pretty excited to get started!

Jeff tried found a haunted house he wanted to try out, but the pattern was too small so he drew the picture on his pumpkin.  He is so dang talented!

Here is Lexi's cow pumpkin and Jeff's haunted house - they turned out pretty well.  (The pictures did not turn out so well!)

Mine is the spider web and the spider is at the bottom of the web.  It is kind of hard to tell what it really is!

On Halloween night it was just Lexi and myself.  Lexi didn't feel well so she skipped her party and didn't really dress up.  It was kind of sad not doing the traditional dress up the kids and head out to trick-or-treat this year.  Lexi did put on a scary mask and cape while she handed out candy (to the nine trick-or-treaters we got!!), but that was about it.  Luckily my sister brought her little chillins over to trick-or-treat at our house so we got to see the kids all dressed up!!
