Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun with the exception of Jeff being at the station (again!) We hung out at home for a while and finished up our shopping and wrapping. Later we went to Grandma an Grandpa Spencer's party. We always have a lot of fun at the party. We go to the church near my parent's home and have a nice dinner, exchange gifts and have a christmas story that my mom prepares each year. The kids (and the adults) love it! We were lucky enough to have my Grandpa and Grandma Spencer with us again this year. I don't know how much longer we will have them with us.
My nephew Seth drew Brayden's name this year for the gift exchange. My brother and his wife (Steve & Jill) handed the gift from Seth and when Brayden opened it I thought he was going to die laughing! He turned red immediately and about died laughing. They had given him the movie 'Broke Back Moutain'. It was pretty funny.
Then they gave him his "real" gift from Seth - a rope for roping! Ashley got some cute slippers, head wrap and towel wrap from Annika and Lexi got a Webkinz and a Mr. Fuzzy from Brad! Lexi gave my parents a gift from herself - the cute stuffed animals! My parents loved the gesture and the gift from her. She is always so thoughtful. Lexi and Annika also performed for us this year. Annika sang Frosty the Snowman (a new version with dance moves she learned at school!) and Lexi played the violin (wearing her blinking nose and antlers! What a great night. Thanks Mom and Dad for the great gifts and party. We love you! After the party we came home and the kids got to open their p.j. gifts. We love this great tradition in our family.
